The group consists of vocalist\/guitarist Alex Kapranos, drummer Michael Shrieve, bassist Scott Metzger and keyboardist Jesse Hughes.<\/p>\n<p> The band&#8217;s self-titled debut album was released in 1999 and spawned the singles &#8220;Ike Ike&#8221; and &#8220;King of the World&#8221;. The band toured extensively in support of the album, playing intimate venues as well as larger venues such as the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>The band&#8217;s second album, entitled &#8220;Bingo Bongo Dolls&#8221;, was released in 2002. The album featured a more psychedelic sound with elements of funk and rock.<\/p>\n<p> The album spawned two singles, &#8220;Istanbul (Not Constantinople)&#8221; and &#8220;Dance Dance Dance&#8221;. The band toured extensively in support of the album, playing smaller venues as well as headlining concerts.<\/p>\n<p>The band&#8217;s third album, entitled &#8220;Bingo Bongo vs. the Moon&#8221;, was released in 2006. The album featured a more experimental sound with elements of electronica and dancehall.<\/p>\n<p> The album spawned two singles, &#8220;Hollywood&#8221; and &#8220;Crazy Sexy Lady&#8221;. The band toured extensively in support of the album, playing larger venues as well as smaller festivals around the world.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, Kapranos announced that Bingo Bongo would be breaking up after ten years together.
