Bingo Bango is a Japanese pop group formed in 2002. The group consists of four members: Haruka Ikeda, Ayumi Hamasaki, Miyuki Nakajima, and Rumi Kujawa.<\/p>\n

In 2012 they released a new single titled “”Futari”” which was used as the opening theme song for the anime series Attack on Titan. They also announced that they would be taking a hiatus after this single’s release.<\/p>\n

Bingo Bango has sold over 10 million records worldwide. They have been nominated for several awards including Best New Artist at the MTV Japan Music Awards five times (2004-2007), Best Japanese Group at the Animage Anime Awards nine times (2004-2012), Best Japanese Pop Group at Japan Gold Disc Awards eight times (2005-2012), Best Japanese Pop Performance by a Duo or Group at Animage Anime Awards six times (2005-2009), Best Japanese Pop Songwriter at Japan Gold Disc Awards four times (2005-2009), and Best New Artist at Billboard Japan Music Award three times (2006-2009). They have also won accolades such as Top 10 Artist of 2004 by HMV Japan, Top 5 Artist of 2005 by Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) Japan music chart show Music Bank Japan three times consecutively from October 2005 to December 2005; Top 3 Artist of 2006 by KBS music chart show Music Bank Japan twice consecutively from January 2006 to March 2006; Top 2 Artist of 2007 by KBS music chart show Music Bank Japan twice consecutively from January 2007 to March 2007; Songwriter of Year at Billboard Japan Music Award 2009; Best 4th Single award for “”Futari”” from MTV Video Music Awards Japan in 2012.
