In the United States, bingo is typically called “bingo dauber.” It is also referred to as “bingo ball,” “bingo marker,” or simply “bingo.” The game of bingo is a form ofQuick Draw. A Quick Draw game is a card game in which players draw cards and play them quickly without taking time to count or reveal their hands.<\/p>\n
The object of the game is to collect as many cards as possible equal to or greater than the number shown on the player’s selected card. Bingo is generally a social activity, though it can also be played solo.<\/p>\n
To play bingo, players gather around a table with a number of Bingo balls (or markers) arranged in a circle or square on the table. Players choose a number from 1-15 and write that number on their Bingo ball. Players then choose a space on the Bingo board (usually at the bottom), and place their Bingo ball there. Players then take turns drawing cards from their hand and playing them face down on the table in front of them.<\/p>\n
When playing a card, players must either match the number shown on the card or cover up any number shown by placing their Bingo ball over it. If all players have played all of their cards, then the player with the most covered numbers wins the round and can move on to another round. If there are still cards in someone’s hand, that player can either discard those cards or play them face up on the table in front of them, but they cannot do both at once. The first player to finish a round wins that round and continues playing until they lose or everyone else has stopped playing.<\/p>\n
To say “bingo” in American English, one might say “I’m going to bingo.” To say “I’m going to play bingo” one might say “I’m going to have some fun at bingo.”.
