The DeRoche family used Bingo as a working dog, and he helped them milk the cows and haul hay. They also used Bingo to protect their property from bears and other animals.<\/p>\n

One day, while Bingo was out chasing a bear, someone took him home and named him. The DeRoche family continued to use Bingo as their working dog until he died in 1998 at the age of 17.
