When Bluey the Australian Cattle Dog was born, her owners, who live in the United States, weren’t sure if she was a girl or a boy. As it turns out, Bluey is actually a girl! Her owners took her to Australia to have her officially registered with the Australian Kennel Club as a female, and it was confirmed.
Bluey is now living in the United States with her family and is very happy.
While it’s not always easy to determine the sex of a dog based on their appearance, Bluey’s case shows that there can be exceptions. If your dog seems to fit into one of two genders and you’re not sure which it is, it’s best to have them checked out by a veterinarian.
Otherwise, you could end up with an unhappy dog and no idea why.
