Buzz Bingo, one of the UK’s leading online gaming operators, has announced that it is closing down its operations indefinitely in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The company made the decision after consulting with its customers and experts.
According to Buzz Bingo, the closure will affect all of its UK-based websites and mobile apps. Customers who have already placed bets will be able to withdraw their winnings, but those who have not yet done so will not be able to do so.
In a statement, Buzz Bingo CEO Rob Hull said: “We have made the difficult decision to close our operations indefinitely in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Our customers are our number one priority and we want to do everything we can to make sure they are safe.
We have consulted with our experts and taken into account their advice before making this decision, but we know that it is ultimately for the best for all of us.”.
The closure of Buzz Bingo comes as a blow to the UK online gaming industry, which was already facing challenges due to economic uncertainty. The company has 2 million active players across its websites and apps in the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Germany.
