What Do You Say at the Beginning of Bingo?

If you are playing bingo with a group, it is customary to say the following:

“Good evening, everyone. We are starting bingo.

Please have your cards ready.” .

If you are playing bingo by yourself, it is customary to say the following:

“Hello, I’m new to this game. Would you mind telling me how to play?”

Once everyone has had a chance to get their cards out and ready, the game can begin. For each column in the bingo card, players mark off one number according to the pattern on their card. Bingo is over when all numbers in a column have been called.

At that point, players can go around the table and collect their winnings – which should be counted and put into the pot accordingly. Finally, any player who wishes may say “bingo” and collect all of the remaining chips in the pot.
