What Does 11 Mean in Bingo?

Bingo has a number of different variants, the most common of which is called “ten-ball.” In ten-ball, each player is given ten balls.

The game is played like regular bingo, with players calling out the numbers they believe are drawn. However, when it comes to the bonus rounds, players can also win by matching any of the bonus balls (11s in particular).

The significance of 11 in bingo is a bit murky. Some say it’s because it’s the first number that can be created by taking away the digits from both sides of a number (2+2=4; 5-2=3; 11-6=5).

Others say that it’s because it’s the only number that can be created when five balls are drawn from a bag and one is left (11 in this case). Regardless of its origin, 11 is an important symbol in bingo and can often be won as part of the bonus rounds.
