What Is Bingo Bango From?

Bingo Bango is a Japanese pop punk band formed in 2006. The band currently consists of vocalist and guitarist Takuya (Taka) Asami, bassist and backing vocalist Keisuke (Kees) Suzuki, and drummer Masaki (Masaki) Ikeda.

The band has released six albums, two extended plays, and twenty-six singles. Their most successful album to date is their fourth album, “Nanashimi no Inochi” (Life’s A Mystery), which peaked at number four on the Oricon Albums Chart and charted for forty-four weeks.

Bingo Bango was formed in 2006 by vocalist and guitarist Takuya (Taka) Asami, bassist and backing vocalist Keisuke (Kees) Suzuki, and drummer Masaki (Masaki) Ikeda. After playing together in several different bands, the four members decided to form Bingo Bango.

The band released their first self-titled album in 2007.

In 2008, the band released their second album, “Suki na Jikan wo Yurusenai” (I Can’t Stop Living In Time). The album was more popular than their debut, peaking at number four on the Oricon Albums Chart.

The song “Kimi no Uta” (Your Song), which featured vocals from popular Japanese singer Ami Suzuki, became a hit single and received extensive airplay on radio stations across Japan.

The follow-up to “Suki na Jikan wo Yurusenai”, “Kimi no Uta” was released as the lead single for the album and also featured guest vocals from Filipino singer Zia Zabriskie. The song topped the Oricon Singles Chart for two consecutive weeks and garnered widespread critical acclaim.

In 2010, Bingo Bango released their third album, “Kimi ga Iru Kara” (You’re Coming Home). Once again, the album topped the Oricon Albums Chart.

The lead single for the album was a cover of English pop rock group Snow Patrol’s hit song “Chasing Cars”. The cover version became a major hit on radio stations across Japan and helped promote the album to a wider audience. .

Following up on their successful 2010 release with another new single titled “Nanatsu no Taizai” (The Seven Deadly Sins), Bingo Bango embarked on their first nationwide tour entitled Bingo Bango LIVE 2010 Natsu Shiki tour (‘Summer Vacation Tour 2010’).

The fourth studio album by Japanese punk rock band Bingo Bango titled Nanashimi no Inochi (‘Life’s A Mystery’) was released on March 8th 2017 and peaked at number 4 on the Oricon Albums Chart with over 2300 copies sold in its first week of release! This marks Bingo Bango’s highest charting position to date! Additionally, Nanashimi no Inochi has been receiving critical acclaim with many praising the bands energetic soundscape & hooks!.
