What Year Did Morongo’s First Bingo Hall Open?

In the early 1900s, Morongo Valley residents organized a series of social events that included bingo. In 1906, the first bingo hall opened in Morongo Valley. This establishment was located on the property of the Morongo Valley School District. The hall initially featured 25 square feet of space and hosted between 20 and 30 people per game.

By 1923, the number of players at the hall had increased to over 400 per game. The hall continued operating until 1957.
