Where Did the Term Bingo Come From?

Bingo is one of the oldest casino gambling games in existence. It is believed that it originated in China in the 13th century as a game called pai-gow. Bingo was later introduced to Europe and became popular in England during the early 1800s.

It was not until the early 1900s that the modern form of bingo was developed in America. Today, bingo is played all over the world and is considered an important part of many cultures.

The term “bingo” is derived from the Japanese word bingo-gō, which means “to pull out (a card), one by one.”.
