Where Did Bingo Name Come From?

Bingo is an old-fashioned board game that originated in England in the 1800s. The game was named after British naval officer Sir Charles Bingham, who is credited with developing the game in 1876.

Bingo was originally played with a single card and was called “bingo.” The modern version of the game uses a board with spaces for 52 cards.
