Why Did They Replace Bingo and Rolly?

In December 2013, Microsoft Corp. announced that Bing would be replaced by the newly-launched Microsoft Allo chat app.

The decision to replace Bing with Allo was made due to the fact that Allo was built around “machine learning” technology, which could better identify and respond to user queries. Additionally, users of Allo could communicate with each other using “smart replies” – a feature which allowed for natural dialogue between users.

In November 2016, Microsoft Corp. announced that it would be replacing its chat app, Skype, with the newly-developed Skype For Business.
